‘COD: Black Ops III’ Multiplayer Beta Date Confirmed, But Only On One Console

Treyarch have announced that their Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer beta will go live on August 19th for Playstation 4 users. No word has been given on a date for Xbox One and PC gamers, only that there is “more information coming soon!”

The futuristic shooter was announced back in April with the unveiling of the official trailer and still has a release date of November 6th across all platforms. Treyarch dropped the news via their twitter account last night.

The devs have given no news about what the multiplayer beta will actually consist of, but it’s a good bet players will get to try out some of the new maps and weaponry. With the release trailer confirming a return of Zombies, there’s a pretty good chance that Playstation users will be first to get their hands on that too.

The only way to get yourself a piece of the action is to pre-ordered a copy of blops 3, and then enter your beta code online. Unfortunately, there will be no version of the game available for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 users, as less and less games are announced for the outdated consoles.
