Custom Quests Added To The Witcher 3 Thanks To Modder

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times; The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a gloriously massive game. In fact, if you were to add together every quest, side quest, and DLC quest, you’d be looking at around a whopping 405 quests to work through.

You’d thank that’d be enough for fans of immersive RPG fun, but fans have been crying out for the ability to add their own custom-made quests to the game since it launched back in 2015. There’s just no pleasing some people.

Thankfully, modder rmemr has created a new set of tools called Radish that gives players everything they need to create their own quests for Geralt. Check out a trailer for the set below.

rmemr writes on the CD Projekt RED forums:

Radish modding tools are a collection of (some already known and some new) in-game mods and external tools aimed to enable the creation of new quests by modders. Although only a smallish subset of all possible features is supported it *should* allow to create non-trivial, story-based quests – just don’t expect clicky-pointy-done workflows. Overall the current version of the tools seems to work (it could be considered a beta) but there are still some things to fix.

You can download the kit for yourself from here. The only downside to Radish – at least right now – is that it’s really quite complicated and not the most user friendly creation kit. Super Mario Maker, this is not.

With that in mind, it’ll probably be a while before we see properly in-depth user created quests in The Witcher 3, but I’m confident that those with the knowledge and desire to work on Radish will come up with some genuinely brilliant stuff eventually.

Speaking of The Witcher 3 and its amazing side quests, I recently looked at five of my favourite side missions from the game in anticipation of the Netflix show. Do feel free to spool through.
