Cyberpunk 2077 Has More Romance Options Than The Witcher 3

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was a fantastic game with some brilliantly deep romance options, but there’s no denying that the choices we had (while enaging) were fairly limited, in that you had to pursue heterosexual relationships.

Fortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 will offer a lot more freedom in the romance arena, because you’ll be playing as character of your own creation. This means whatever romances you pursue can be based entirely on your sexuality, and not that of a preconceived character.

CD Projekt RED previously confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will offer a bevy of diverse customisation options, and with that comes a wider range of romantic choices for your character

Redditor magired1234 shared what looks like a Twitter DM conversation with Paweł Sasko, a lead quest designer at CDPR. In this chat, Sasko seems to confirm that we can expect entire questlines based around NPCs who might be into your character, and that these quests will be “similar” in depth to the ones in The Witcher 3 that predominately involved Triss and Yen.

CD Projekt RED later confirmed to PC Gamer that “romancing is something heavily present in Cyberpunk“, and that players will be able to run the gamut from meaningful relationships to one night stands, with all romance options available to all characters, regardless of gender.

CDPR said:

Since we’re not bound by a predefined character like in The Witcher anymore, the game will feature romance options going beyond heterosexual,

With all these swell new romance options, it’d be a real shame if we couldn’t take a crack at Keanu Reeve’s character Johnny Silverhand at some point in the game . Unfortunately, CD Projekt RED have yet to confirm or deny whether or not seducing Reeves will be a quest in Cyberpunk 2077.

If it’s not, then I brand every single person at the studio a coward and will refuse to buy the game until the breathtaking Mr Reeves becomes a romance option. I guess we’ll find out when the game launches in April 2020.
