Everybody’s favourite wizard Daniel Radcliffe has appeared in a new trailer for BBC’s take on Grand Theft Auto’s popularity – The Gamechangers.
Starring as Rockstar President Sam Houser, Radcliffe is seen doing battle with meddling lawyer Jack Thompson, played by Bill Paxton. The real life story is set around 2002, not long after the release of GTA III on the Playstation 2.
Controversially, Rockstar have been at odds with the BBC over the development of the film and even filed a lawsuit against them in May in an attempt to stop the film being made. Naturally though, the BBC didn’t give a flying fuck and has gone ahead with it anyway.
Filmed in South Africa, it’s thought the film will concentrate on the relationship between Houser and Thompson during the criticism the game received for its portrayal of violence.
The Gamechangers will be airing on BBC 2 at 9pm on 15 September in the UK, but there’s no word on when it will be heading to screens in other countries.
