Following on from the trailer we got a couple of days ago, we now get to see what the actual action will be like, and it’s looking pretty promising. Faster and more streamlined than its predecessors, Dark Souls 3 is going to be much, much more deadly. From Software’s other IP Bloodborne has obviously been a catalyst in turning Souls 3 into their hardest game yet.

Dark Souls and Bloodborne are two separate franchises, but both have [Hidetaka] Miyazaki-san’s personal touch. One thing that people are already noticing is the faster speed at which combat and action in Dark Souls III moves. It’s a bit faster than previous Dark Souls games but not as fast as Bloodborne. I’d say it’s just right.

The footage has been filmed off screen so the resolution isn’t great, but it’s still nice to get a feel of what the game is going to be like. Check out the two videos below, the second video is of a boss fight, so there are spoilers there if you care about that kind of thing. Dark Souls 3 is set for an early 2016 release on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
