PlayStation exclusive Days Gone has been delayed again – this time pushed back to April 26, 2019. The zombie slaying romp was originally due out by the end of the year, before being delayed to February 22 2019.
The news was confirmed in a post on the PlayStation Blog, where SIEA marketing vice president Asad Qizilbash confirmed that developer Bend Studio will be taking this time to “polish” Days Gone further.
Qizilbash wrote:
While the studio is eager to see Days Gone in the hands of fans, Bend Studio will take the opportunity to further polish Days Gone.
Days Gone was officially unveiled during E3 2016, when gamers were treated to a glimpse of a promising open world zombie game featuring motorcycle gangs, brutal combat, and terrifying zombie hordes that chase after the player like a sentient tidal wave.
Many publications came away underwhelmed by early preview builds of the game, so a little extra time to polish up the game and make it as special as possible certainly seems logical.
The lack of Days Gone content could also be another reason that Sony decided not to hold their annual PSX event this year.
We still have plenty of great games to round out 2018 however, with Red Dead Redemption 2, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee/Pikachu sure to keep us all occupied.
