Dead Rising will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC, while Dead Rising 2 and Off the Record are coming to PS4 and Xbox One.
Brand new screenshots posted on the Xbox website show us just how remastered these remasters are, plus details on which development teams will be taking on the projects – take a look below.
Dead Rising
The remastered original game is being developed by QLOC, a studio with experience in remakes, having worked on the remade Devil May Cry 4.
As you can see, it’s not a ground-up remake, but it’s certainly looking better than ever.
Dead Rising 2
The remaster of Dead Rising 2 is being brought to us by Mercenary Technologies, who also did the PS4 version of God of War III.
Dead Rising 2: Off The Record
Off The Record – which is basically the second game re-imagined with the first game’s Frank West inserted into the plot instead, is also being developed by Mercenary Technologies.
There’s no word on a release date for these titles as of yet, or if they’ll be available to buy separately – at the moment, it seems the remasters will only be sold as part of a bundle.
It’s also not entirely clear whether these remasters are going to be straight up ports of the originals, or if Capcom plans on adding in tweaked gameplay or bonus content. Apparently we can expect to learn more ‘soon’.
Meanwhile, the brand spankin’ new Dead Rising 4 will be coming to Xbox One and PC in December.
