Chances are you’ve seen the latest (brilliant) trailer for the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie, a film which continually defies my expectations by not looking like complete rubbish.

While the brunt of the trailer was once again dedicated to establishing the story and relationship between Ryan Reynolds’ caffeine-addicted Detective Pikachu and Justice Smith’s constantly surprised/annoyed Tim Goodman as they explore Ryme City to unravel the truth behind the disappearance of Tim’s dad and Pikachu’s former partner.

Check out the trailer below to jog your memory, or enjoy it for the first time if you’ve yet to see it.

As was the case with the first trailer, one of the biggest joys in looking through this footage was seeing how many hyper realistic Pokemon we could spot. If you fancy seeing all the ones we found in the first trailer head here.

Of course, the latest trailer had its fair share of new Pokemon to drink in, so let’s take a look at the ones we spotted.

Let’s start with this very confused looking Ludicolo, who seems to work in a coffee shop and resembles my delicate mental state at any given time.

A few critters hiding in this next shot. I spotted some adorable doggo Pokemon in the form of Growlithe and Arcanine, and the ghost/ground type Golurk, which is pretty hard to miss.

Moving on, we have to classic Pokemon in the form of Machamp – who seems to be working in traffic for some reason – and a Snorlax, who is doing what it does best by enjoying a lovely snooze.

Here we have a Loudred who seems to working as a DJ, or at the very least a hype man for the actual human DJ.

Sorry about the blurry quality of this screengrab, but you can probably see the Blastoise doing battle with a very sneaky (and scary looking) Gengar.

This Cubone is precious and I will protect it with my life.

Flareon! Looking great too, I might add. You’ll also notice the statues in the background of three legendary Pokemon; Dialga, Palkia, and Arceus – the God of all Pokemon.

No. This Aipom makes me uncomfortable. Do not want.

The trailer’s final big surprise is none other than the OG legendary Pokemon, Mewtwo. What’s it doing here? How important will it be to the plot of the movie? I’m guessing very.

Those are all the critters we found in the latest trailer, but if you happen to have seen any we missed please do let us know. Detective Pikachu is coming to cinemas on May 10, so try to contain your excitement till then.
