Techland, the developers behind Dying Light have been talking about The Following, the huge new expansion they have planned for the game.
The expansion, which is story driven, will contain dune buggy style vehicles that can be used to plow down zombies, and a new map that will be bigger than all previous maps combined. Techland have said the expansion comes as a direct result of consumer feedback.
Dying Light’s producer Tymon Smektala spoke to Gamespot about the expansion:
For Dying Light: The Following, we’re adding a number of bold game-changers to create one massive expansion. Something big that will give the game a brand-new flavor. The new map alone is the same size as all the previous maps from Dying Light combined, so there is a lot we’re packing in here.
We also kept a close eye on player feedback to help tailor what we’ve created here, hopefully people will see that this new expansion is first and foremost, for the fans.
The expansion will be free if you purchased the Dying Light DLC Pass (not really free, right?) and will still be available to buy on its own. Dying Light: The Following is going to be shown off at Gamescom next month before being revealed to the general public shortly after.
