The E3 2016’s Game Critics Awards verdict is now in, with members of 40 different media outlets coming together to decide the best of the best from the LA expo.
Battlefield 1 led the way with the majority of nominations, but it was The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that – ahem – took everybody’s breath away.
The new open world Zelda title for Wii U and NX managed to sweep up three awards: Best of Show, Best Console Game, and Best Action/Adventure Game.
Civilization VI was the only other game to win more than one award, being named Best PC Game and Best Strategy Game.
Breaking it down in terms of publishers, Sony and Nintendo were the winners with three awards each – Sony’s wins came through Horizon: Zero Dawn, PlayStation VR, and God of War 4.
Check out the full list of winners below, along with the nominees (or pathetic losers) from each category.
