Fallout 4 Official Mod Support Coming To PC In April

Mods can make games better, stranger, or even just prolong their life by adding a ton of cool new shit. Good news then, as Bethesda have confirmed official mod support is coming to the PC version of Fallout 4 in April, with console versions following soon after.

Of course, there have been Fallout 4 mods floating around on PC pretty much since launch, but the official support will make it easier for newbies to make their own.

Director Todd Howard said:

We want to get it up on PC and have it work. It’ll probably be a good month before it hits Xbox One, and another month for PlayStation 4.

So it’ll be a little while before console users can get modding, but at least Bethesda and Howard are taking the time to make sure they get it right.

Meanwhile, PC gamers have spawned a ton of amazing mods, including two recent efforts that bring in equipment from The Witcher 3 and Metal Gear Solid V.

Fallout 4 mod support should be coming to PC around the same time as the first of three announced DLC packs, which focuses on Pokemon-esque gameplay that involves building your own robot companions.
