Skyrim really is the gift that keeps on giving. Much like grandmas.

Much indeed like 82-year-old gaming grandma Shirley Curry, who plies her trade playing Skyrim on her extremely popular YouTube channel.
With her popularity ever-growing, plus her evergreen warmth and loveliness, her army of fans are calling on Bethesda to make her a canonical NPC in The Elder Scrolls VI.

Worries were recently sparked for Shirley when she replied to Bethesda’s statement that ESVI would still be some years away from release.

In her YouTube comments section she wrote:

Well, I guess that puts the nail in my coffin, literally!

When Skyrim 6 comes out I’ll be 88! So I probably won’t get to play it, so I’m going to [quit] dreaming for it!

This prompted redditor phantom-scribbler to put it to Bethesda that Shirley deserved to be immortalised within the game. And as of time of writing, that post has over 9.2k upvotes.

How cool would it be to come across an elderly Breton who wants to kick some ass and asks to come along with you?

Her story is even perfect just as it is. She’s twice widowed and has four kids and nine grandkids. She calls all her subscribers ‘grandkids.’ So, maybe she has a sword that both of her husbands died using. She calls it ‘Widowmaker.’ She takes it up and puts on some armor, says, ‘Come on, grandson/daughter!’ and you’re off to tackle whoever gets in your way.

I couldn’t agree more to be honest, having Shirley as a companion who kicks all kinds of ass by your side would be pretty great.

Following this, another post was made with over 4.8k upvotes attempting to get a community made mod of Curry in Skyrim, which according to Twitter, she’s totally on board with.

The most recent development in this tale is that a petition to get Shirley in the game (which I heartily encourage you to sign) has been made and currently has over 8 thousand signatures and counting.

Bethesda haven’t officially responded yet, but with fan-power like this, anything is possible.
