Hey kids, do you like flight sims? Do you also enjoy hotels? Do you often wish that someone would combine your twin passions in one convenient location? Well, I’ve got some good news for ya.

The Haneda Excel Hotel Tokyu, which is connected to Terminal 2 of Haneda International Airport in Tokyo, is now offering a special room that comes with a full-sized flight simulator based on a Boeing 737-800.

It’s called Superior Cockpit Room, so you can both enjoy a great night’s sleep, a nice hot bath, and a few hours soaring through the virtual skies.  Truly, we live in a blessed time.

You don’t actually have to spend the night in the room if you’d rather just have a crack at flying, as the the hotel offers a few different options. One plan allows you to book a 90-minute slot in the afternoon with an instructor who’ll help you experience flying from Haneda to Osaka International Airport. That’ll set you back 30,000 yen (about £220).

If you want to make a night of it, you can book the room for 25,300 yen (£186). Sadly, this option comes minus the instructor, as I’d imagine they wouldn’t want to spend the night with you. Not that you aren’t lovely, they’ve probably just got a family to go home to.

It’s also worth noting that the room is a double room – perhaps in an effort to prevent people from getting frisky in there? Let’s be honest though, if a couple book the Superior Cockpit Room for a night, they’re almost definitely gonna try and get it on in the virtual flight deck.

If you want to take a look at some of the different options available for the Superior Cockpit Room, head here. If that’s a bit too extra for you though, Microsoft revealed at E3 2019 that a new edition of its popular Flight Simulator will arrive at some point in 2020, so there are plenty of options for those of you that want to spread your wings without leaving the house.
