YouTuber and gamer BOOM, LLC Robotater recently worked out how to play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on a potato. I’m not sure why, but it’s oddly comforting to know that we now have the option to play Skyrim like this.
He uses six sliced potatoes on each side, which act like an axis. When he wants to move in a certain direction, he pushes down with his fingers on the potato. He is one with the potato.
Our intrepid friend also shared a handy how-to guide on Steam, which you can find right here. It’s one thing to have the potatoes, but you’ll not get very far without the know how.
Check out a gameplay video below, just in case you need concrete evidence of this guy’s potato based exploits – I was especially impressed when he manages to pick a lock.
In less starchy Skyrim news, there are rumours that Bethesda are planning a current-gen remaster, complete with Fallout 4 style mod support – fingers crossed for a potato mod.
