Already one of the UK’s favourite grime artists,Big Narstie has now released a retro inspired mobile game called Base Invaders.
Taking inspiration from everything from Super Mario Bros through to Temple Run, Base Invaders has you trying to avoid capture by the law, while dodging obstacles and traversing moving platforms. Uncle Pain also comes equipped with his trusty zoot to keep himself safe from harm. Mix all that in with colourful graphics and Narstie’s iconic tunes and you’re on to a good thing.
The game has already hit the mobile charts big, topping out the arcade and music app charts and hitting the number five spot in the overall UK charts. Not bad for the BDL man.
Big Narstie has spoken about how happy he is the game has been well received, and even has plans for a follow up called Streets of Bass (like Streets of Rage) in which he wears roller skates and calls in a decked out Fiat Punto for support. Sounds pretty great tbh.
Base Invaders is coming out ahead of Narstie’s new album, which is rumoured to have artists like Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams and Section Boyz all making cameos.
If you want to check out the app yourself, you can pick it up on the App Store or Android Play Store right now.
