Halo 5’s Ghosts of Meridian expansion is coming out in early April, and developer 343 Industries have shared the first few details of what we can expect in the free update.
While more details are still to come, for now we know that it’ll come with new goodies including weapons, weapon skins, helmets, armor, assassinations, emblems, and vehicles.
We’ll also be getting a new Warzone map called Skirmish at Darkstar – great name for a heavy metal band. To whet your appetite for this new arena, check out a screenshot below.
343 explained in a blog post how the new arena will stand out from previous Warzone maps:
The upcoming map brings an entirely new feel to the Warzone experience, with a variety of unique sightlines, flank routes, and cover pieces that invite you to push across and throughout the map, dodge danger from patrolling vehicles, and perfectly time an attack on opponents. If you’ve been anxiously awaiting a new place to bust out your finest Reqs and lay down destruction, this is it.
Ghosts of Meridian also adds an awesome looking new vehicle called Hannibal Mantis (another great band name). You can check out some concept art for the new ride just below.
Good guy 343 had released a free update for Halo 5 every month since the game launched last October. Since Ghosts of Meridian isn’t coming till April and we’ve had nothing for March, that’s the end of that streak – it was an admirable run though.
