I think we can all agree that an extravagant Halo theme park with a Warthog run rollercoaster, a haunted house full of Flood, and some kind of epic laser tag would be incredible.
Unfortunately, that’s very unlikely to ever happen. Luckily, there is a new interactive exhibit called Halo: Outpost Discovery, and it’s pretty much the next big thing. It even has the laser tag.
Microsoft The only downside (at least for those of us who aren’t US based) is that the exhibit would involve you heading out to Orlando, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, or Anaheim. Not sure how Stoke-on-Trent missed the cut, but there you go.
If you do manage to make it to one of these exotic locations, you’ll be able to enjoy a Halo themed escape room that sees you work with fellow guests to outwit the Covenant, or even test your trigger finger in a Halo themed round of laser tag, which sounds truly fantastic.
There’s also a VR Spartan training program, a target range, and a Pelican training system. There is of course a gift shop too, because what exhibit doesn’t have one of those?
I do love a good gift shop.
Microsoft/343IndustriesMixed in with all of these interactive goodies is a huge collection of memorabilia dedicated to the history of the franchise. The “Hall of History” is described as the heart of this experience.

As if that wasn’t enough to get most Halo lovers good and ready to pop, thee’s also a dome-based theatrical experience that takes audiences through the ins and outs of a Halo ring. Oh my.
