Halo: The Master Chief Collection is an incredibly handsome set of remastered games for Xbox One, including the first three (and some would say best) Halo games, as well as Halo 4 and the campaign from ODST

While the game had an initially rocky launch, plenty of subsequent tweaking and patches has transformed it into a must own title for Halo fans everywhere. Even if it doesn’t include Reach, which is just plain wrong.

Anyway, we’ve got some great potential news for any PC owners out there, as it’s very much looking as if The Master Chief Collection will finally be making its way to PC.

Microsoft has promised “exciting news” regarding the collection on the next edition of its Inside Xbox show, which is set to go live next Tuesday (March 12) at 10pm UK time.

While there’s been no official guarantee that this news will be a PC port of the game, there have been rumblings of such a move for a while now. Most recently Xbox insider Brad Sams claimed in a YouTube video that the game is in development, and that a release is imminent – though he speculated it would be announced at E3 2019.

Of course, there’s always a chance Microsoft could use the Inside Xbox show to surprise everyone by announcing Halo Reach for the collection, with a PC port to be announced at E3 like Sams predicts.

Developer 343 had this to say about Reach last year:

When it comes to future features, the team is definitely aware that many, many players are very eager to see Halo: Reach added – we don’t have anything to announce or commit to right now, but it’s on the long list of things the team is constantly evaluating and thinking about for possible future updates.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has really been talking up the continued fusion of PC and Xbox in 2019, so we can certainly look forward to some big announcements in that regard over the coming months.

The Inside Xbox show next week will also look at Day Z, One Piece World Seeker, and have some updates on Game Pass. We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop as we learn more.
