You’ve probably played Fallout 4, but you’ve probably never felt like you were about as fucked as it’s possible to be when you stepped out of Vault 111. Enter Frost Survival Simulator.
Let’s address the elephant in the room here – Fallout 4 has lots of mods, like lots of mods. But what sets Frost Survival Simulator apart is how it transforms the map into a radioactive, apocalyptic vision of hell.
In the mod uploaded by naugrim04 there are no quests, and NPCs have been stripped back to a bare minimum. Your only true objective is to survive. Not easy when you need a gasmask to even venture above ground.
Frost Survival Simulator plops you into the Fallout universe right after the bombs have been dropped and let me tell you, if there’s one place you don’t want to be, it’s where a nuclear bomb just blew up.
Since you can’t actually breath above ground, the mod has a series of interconnected subway tunnels where you must fight the overly powerful enemies to gear up and eventually journey topside.
If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, you can download the mod via Nexus Mods right here. You’ll also want to read carefully through the instructions here and kiss your arse goodbye.
Remember, you don’t win, you just survive.
