If trick-or-treating ain’t your style, then Grand Theft Auto Online is getting a pretty special Halloween update to keep you occupied on the spookiest day of the year.
Going live today – October 29 – and running until November 16 is GTA‘s Halloween Surprise – an event that will see all sorts of creepy items like new cars, masks and a ‘slasher’ game mode shuffling into Los Santos.
Players will have access to two new cars: the Lurcher Hurse and Franken Stange as well as 20 “ghoulish” new bobbleheads to slap on their lowrider.
New masks are also going to be available for heists in the Monsters section of Vespucci Movie Masks store, while there are 30 spooky face paints for your in-game mug.
The all new Slasher Adversary Mode is basically an eight player hide and seek with a shotgun, as one player – the slasher – must hunt down and kill the other seven players in the pitch black. You can use your flashlight to navigate around if you dare, but you risk being seen and killed.
If all this has got you excited, you’ll be pleased to know that you can keep all the masks and vehicles when the event finishes. Happy days!
