Sony won’t be hosting a press event during GamesCom 2016, but it still plans to be in attendance in a big way, with a ton of games just confirmed for the show floor.
In a new a blog post on the German PlayStation Blog, Sony revealed the list of games lucky attendees will get a chance to try out.
PlayStation 4 puts in a fairly modest showing with only three games – we’ll be getting Titanfall 2, Destiny: Rise of Iron, and Gran Turismo Sport.
There are also ‘live cinematic demos’ to look forward to in the form of Mafia III, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, Detroit: Become Human, and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – it’s just a shame we won’t be able to get our hands on any of those.
Still, PlayStation VR is clearly intended to be the main attraction for Sony at GamesCom, with a whopping 17 titles to try out, including Resident Evil 7 and the excellent sounding Batman: Arkham VR.
Check out the full list of PlayStation VR titles available at GamesCom just below:
- Batman Arkham VR

It’s interesting to note that the troubled and oft-forgotten PS Vita won’t be putting in an appearance, perhaps suggesting that Sony has finally called time on the handheld.
GamesCom 2016 will be held on August 17 to August 21 in Cologne, Germany, while I sit at home bitterly wishing I was there trying out all those awesome VR games.
