Here’s Everything We Know About The Assassin’s Creed TV Series

Ubisoft has revealed that they’re working on an Assassin’s Creed TV series, because a budding movie franchise and small army of video games just isn’t enough.

The news was shared by Assassin’s Creed head of content Aymar Azaizia during a Reddit AMA this week, though the little tease declined to share any real details, outside of the fact that it’s happening.

Azaizia said:

We will take our time to get sure we deliver something we can be proud of.

While the show has yet to be formally announced, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot did tease the news that the company was in talks with Netflix to produce a show last year, so this could well be it, taking my dreams of a Rayman cartoon in the process.

Given that AC is Ubisoft’s most popular and well known brand, it does seem to be a no-brainer really.

It’s also a safe bet to assume that the show will be produced by Ubisoft’s film and TV division, Ubisoft Motion Pictures, who are well known for the bang average job they did with the Fassbender-led Assassin’s Creed movie last year.

Speaking of the AC movie franchise, fans will be glad to know that a sequel is already in the works, while Azaizia also confirmed that the ‘leaked’ image from the new Assassin’s Creed game doing the rounds is a fake (you can see the image in question below).

When asked if the next AC – rumoured to be set in Egypt – is indeed called Empire, Azaizia responded with a mysterious and simple ‘lol’, which could pretty much mean anything.
