Hideo Kojima And Norman Reedus Tease New Silent Hills Collab

By :

What does it mean? Hideo Kojima has recently shared a picture on Twitter, showing himself and his former Silent Hills collaborator Norman Reedus (of The Walking Dead fame) together. Are they working on a new project, or are they just two mates catching up?

Kojima claims on the Twitter post that the two met up so Reedus could get an update on Kojima’s new studio. Kojima of course, left Konami to start his own indie company, after a series of bullshit moves on Konami’s part.

The worst of these moves was, of course, the cancellation of Silent Hills, a group effort between Reedus, Kojima, and filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro. Going by the P.T. demo, it would have been something pretty special. Indeed, they promised it would literally make us “shit our pants” – who doesn’t want that?

Reedus would certainly be up for doing something new, having previously expressed his interest in a future collaboration. After the meeting, he even posted an image of the Kojima Productions logo to his Instagram.

He told IGN:

I have faith that we, the three of us, can do something else. There were so many ideas and cool future happenings that were thrown around. I just can’t see us not picking this up somewhere.

Still, Kojima has been known to tease before, so his reunion with Reedus may really be nothing. It’s nice to dream though.

Kojima’s new studio, Kojima Productions are currently working with Sony to develop a console exclusive title for PlayStation.
