They say you should never judge a book by its cover – well, that goes doubly true for videogames. It’s very rare that a single piece of artwork (however great) is capable of summing the digital delights that await within.
Still, for most of us, what we see on the box is (or was) often our very first impression of a game, and perhaps the memory that would stick with us the longest.
With that in mind, I’ve rounded up a few classic – plus some fairly recent – examples of great box art. All you have to do is take the quiz and see if you can recall the game from a closeup of the art. The winner gets a prize.*
*There is almost definitely no prize.
