KOTOR 2 is easily one of the best Star Wars games ever released alongside its predecessor, and now we’re getting a huge update 10 years on from release. Why? Why not!
The newly announced update for Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic II: The Sith Lords (to give it its proper title) will bring the game to Mac, Linux and SteamOS whilst also introducing a huge overhaul for all versions of the game. It will retail at $10 and be available through Steam or the Mac App Store.
The game is set to look better than ever with support for up to 5k resolution and will now have options for native widescreen. There will be 37 new achievements for completionists, and support for Playstation 3 & 4 and Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers. KOTOR 2 will also continue to have full mod support across all platforms, adding huge new possibilities to the gameplay experience.
The update is up right now and is the result of a collaboration between publishers Aspyr and LucasArts. Maybe next time they’ll port in a community for The Old Republic Online, only time will tell…
