Life is Strange Inspires #EverydayHeroes Twitter Campaign

Square Enix and anti bullying organisation PACER have teamed up to give bullies a swift kick in the nads, with the #EverydayHeroes Twitter campaign.

The campaign is introduced in a special video featuring Ashly Burch (the voice of Chloe in Life is Strange), which you can watch below.

PACER are encouraging folk to share their stories of standing up to bullying using the hashtag #EverydayHeroes, and for every Tweet that uses the hashtag between the 13th and 19th of January, Square Enix will make a donation to PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Centre.

It’s a testament to the quality of the critically acclaimed Life is Strange that it could serve as the catalyst for such a great cause here in the real world. In the game, protagonist Max is encouraged to enter the Everyday Heroes photography contest, which serves as crux for the storyline.

The episodic Life is Strange of course, dealt with such heavy subject matter as domestic abuse, violence, and bullying throughout the story, and always advised players in-game from the beginning that if they felt strongly about any of the issues, they could go to Dontnod’s support website for help.

Now it seems they’ve gone one further with this PACER team-up, and by all accounts it looks to have been a huge success so far. The campaign website is already filling up with some great submissions, so help spread the word.
