Warner Bros. have treated us to some new footage of their upcoming Mad Max game, Stronghold.
Developed by Avalanche Studios (the guys behind Just Cause 3) the game is not a tie in with the recent box office hit Mad Max: Fury Road. Instead, players must traverse the apocalyptic wasteland to find Strongholds that will contain a host of missions and mental characters, many of which feature in the trailer.
Warner Bros. official press release for the game states:
In a world where Max faces both his internal and external enemies, these strongholds hold the pieces essential to the puzzle he tries to solve. Max will need to make some uneasy alliances as he prepares to take on merciless Wasteland tyrant, Scrotus.
The game will apparently start players off with absolutely nothing and force them to build and customise to survive. You’ll have to customise Max himself, his car the Magnum Opus, weapons and armour in order to thrive in The Wasteland.
Originally set for release in 2014, the game was pushed back and will now drop on September 1st on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
