Videogames are great for so many reasons, but I think what I love most is that as a medium, it lets you do some really out there, fantastic stuff.
You wanna dress up like a raccoon and fly around? Super Mario Bros 3 has your back. Take on the role of your favourite superhero and fight crime? Spider-Man 2 and Batman: Arkham City are just two that let you do that.
Then of course, there’s this.
We’ve known for a while that the open world crime game set in 1968 New Orleans would tackle some thorny subjects – racism chief among them.
But, a new trailer showing off some of the weapons protagonist Lincoln Clay will be using throughout the game shows us that we’ll really be able to let the KKK have it.

The inclusion of this scene seems to have caused some upset in certain corners of the internet – mostly with racists and morons though, so I can’t imagine anyone at 2K Games or Hangar 13 are gonna lose too much sleep on this one.
Because really, videogames like GTA let us run around killing whoever we want, and this is only a videogame at the end of the day – a place for harmless fantasy.
