Mass Effect Andromeda And Battlefield 5 Get Release Windows

Rejoice! We now have rough release windows for Mass Effect Andromeda and Battlefield 5. During a presentation at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference, Blake Jorgensen CFO of EA confirmed the news.

Sadly, Mass Effect: Andromeda won’t be coming till the first quarter of 2017, which is anytime between January and March. A bit of a wait then, but I’m expecting big things from that particular title. That period also represents the fourth quarter of EA’s financial year – which begins in April, and ends March

Meanwhile, Battlefield will be launching in EA’s third financial quarter along with Titanfall 2. This means those games could land anywhere between September and December 2016.

Jorgensen said:

We’ve got our Battlefield first-person shooter game coming in the third quarter, and our third-party title that Respawn, our partner, built. It’s called Titanfall, it’s the second title that they brought into that brand. Both of those are first-person shooters and will be targeted around the fast, action-driven shooter market, as well as the strategy-driven market in that quarter… We have our Mirror’s Edge runner game this first quarter, and then we have Mass Effect, which is a sci-fi action game, in our fourth quarter.

Mass Effect Andromeda was originally announced at E3 with a holiday 2016 release date – but considering the scope and scale of every other Mass Effect title, it should be worth the wait.
