Metal Gear Solid 5: The Definitive Experience Officially Announced

Konami has officially announced Metal Gear Solid 5: The Definitive Experience, for release on October 11 in the US, and October 13 in the UK.

The game will contain both parts of Metal Gear Solid 5 – the shorter Ground Zeroes and the grander Phantom Pain – making it a good opportunity for anyone who has yet play either to jump on board.

In addition, we can expect the inclusion of all single and multiplayer DLC from both games.

The announcement hardly comes as much of a surprise of course, since such a compilation has been hinted by several retailers over the past few months.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Definitive Experience will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Contents and pricing of the PC version -which will be sold through Steam – ‘will be confirmed at a later date.’

2016 is shaping up to be a big year for remasters and re-releases. This Metal Gear collection joins the likes of Skyrim, BioShock, and the Batman: Arkham games.

In other Metal Gear news, Konami recently announced the unusual looking Metal Gear Survive for 2017 – the first in the series without Kojima.

Between a re-release and a brand new game, it’s clear Konami hasn’t forgotten about the franchise – let’s just hope they know what to do with it in lieu of its creator.
