The service is set to roll out “late Spring 2017” and will cost gamers £7.99 ($9.99) per month for the privilege. Xbox Games Pass will be solely available on the Xbox One, but people will be able to redeem their pass on PC and console.

According to the Xbox website, some of the games you’ll be able to pick up will include Halo 5, Payday 2 and Mad Max, while new games will be added and older games removed in a monthly cycle.

A blurb on the site reads:

Play games across multiple genres, from action/adventure and family favourites to shooters, sport, puzzle games and more. And with new titles added every month, you’ll always have a wide selection of great games to choose from.

Games will be downloaded directly to your console in “full-fidelity” without streaming. Those who buy into the scheme will also receive 20% off purchases from the catalogue with a further 10% off for any add-ons.

What’s more, you won’t have to have a subscription to Xbox Live Gold to use Xbox Pass and download games, but you will obviously have to have Xbox Live in order to play online.

If you’ve part of the Xbox Insider Program, you’ll be able to test out an Alpha build of the system right now with a limited number of games to choose from.
