Mortal Kombat Movie Dream Cast Assembles In This Outstanding Fan Art

While we now know the live-action Mortal Kombat reboot is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on March 5, 2021, there’s plenty surrounding the project that has yet to be announced – namely who’ll actually star in it. 

Warner Bros recently confirmed that the Hollywood adaptation of the brutal fighting game franchises – which is being directed by Simon McQuoid – would be entering pre-production this month, meaning casting news can’t be too far away.

Until any official reveals rear their head however,  Australian artist BossLogic has been busy coming up with his pieces of fan casting for Mortal Kombat, via some absolutely stunning pieces of work.

You might remember that BossLogic made a pretty convincing visual case for Terry Crews to appear in the movie as Jax earlier this year. That piece, as you can see above, was so good that it actually got the support of Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon, and inspired Crews himself to publicly state his interest in appearing in the film.

BossLogic hasn’t stopped there though, and has now assembled an All Star cast for what would easily be one hell of a movie. Even if the film itself sucked, with a lineup like this, it’d still find a way to be a good time.

Let’s start with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the villainous Shao Kahn. Makes perfect sense to me, the dude definitely has the the figure of a man who could crush your head with his thumb forefinger.

Next up is Keanu Reeves as Kenshi, which is just… inspired. I’d watch Keanu Reeves read from a phone book for two hours, so I’d absolutely check him out in the Mortal Kombat movie.

How about Chris Pratt as Johnny Cage? The only right answer to that question is a resounding “YES”, by the way.
