Capcom has officially confirmed that a number of Dead Rising games will be making their way to current-gen consoles in the form of shiny remasters.
The original Dead Rising will be making its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, while Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record are coming to PS4 and Xbox One (those titles are already available for PC).
There are currently no details on what to expect from these remasters in terms of new content (if indeed there will be any) but I’m sure we can at least count on upgraded visuals. At any rate, Capcom said we’ll be learning more ‘soon’.
If you’ve never played any of the above games, this is essentially what they’re about: you roam an open world and defend yourself from zombies with all manner of weapons.
The real appeal comes in the vast array of zombie slaying tools you can use. The zombie slaying franchise offers everything from standard guns, to rocket launchers that shoot stuffed animals.
This news marks the franchises first appearance PlayStation 4, though it has been suggested that Dead Rising 4 – announced at E3 2016 as a timed exclusive for Xbox One – could eventually make its way to Sony’s console.
