New Anthem Trailer Released At CES Nvidia Show

A shiny new trailer for BioWare’s upcoming action sci-fi Anthem was released during Nvidia’s press conferences at CES 2019, giving us a good look at new enemies, locations, and exosuits.

Nvidia also confirmed that they weren’t just showing off Anthem at their show for fun. It turns out the game will feature the tech giant’s AI-based antialiasing DLSS technology (basically, it’ll look really really good on PC).

Take a look at the trailer (likely captured on a high-end PC) below:

Nvidia also promised to deliver “next generation” gaming with their newly announced GeForce RTX 2060 video card, which launches on January 15 with a price tag of $350 (around £270).

If you were already thinking about getting yourself a new video card, Nvidia announced that anyone who picks the 2060 up – or a desktop PC with one inside – can get a free copy of Battlefield V or Anthem to go with it.

Meanwhile, EA has confirmed that Anthem demo dates on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC will kick off between January 25 to 27 for for ‘VIP’ players, before a public demo starts February 1 and ends February 3.

Those who join in with the VIP demo sessions will get an in-game item to carry over into the full game, although player progress from the demo won’t do the same.

EA

After the lukewarm reception to Mass Effect: Andromeda (both critically and commercially), the word is that there’s a fair bit of pressure on both EA and BioWare to deliver a hit with Anthem.

The full game launches on February 22, so it won’t be too long till we see just how well BioWare’s latest performs.
