New Leak Suggests Dead Rising 4 To Be Announced At E3

Leaks are springing up all over the place on the good ship E3, as is always the way so close to the event.

This time, it seems that Dead Rising 4 has accidentally slipped out from behind the curtain a little early – new images on This Gen Gaming, seem to show marketing materials, and shots of series protagonist Frank West walking around a snowy location.

Kotaku then backed up the claims, revealing that they’d received the same images from an entirely separate source. The setting could well be Willamette, Colorado, where the first Dead Rising took place.

In fact, Dead Rising 4 is said to be more of a remaster of the first game, complete with online four player co-op. It’ll be set during Christmas time as you and your zombie slaying chums explore a mall and the surrounding areas.

Developer Capcom Vancouver will be working exclusively with the Unreal Engine 4, so expect lots of very good looking gore if this rumour turns out to be true.

It was also mentioned that the game would be revealed at Microsoft’s E3 briefing, suggesting the title will have some kind of exclusivity with Xbox One.

Of course, Dead Rising 3 launched as an Xbox One exclusive before later heading to PC, so it wouldn’t be all that surprising.

As always, we’ll find out one way or the other by the time E3 rolls around.
