New Mafia 3 Screens Show Off The Game’s Impressive World

Some fresh Mafia 3 screenshots have come to light, courtesy of a GDC presentation given by the game’s systems designer, Seth Rosen. Bear in mind these screens are taken from a pre-alpha version of the game, but it’s still looking pretty sweet.

The images offer an early look at Mafia 3’s New Orleans setting, and focuses on some of the eye catching environments and NPCs in the game.

It’s clear from the screens that developer Hangar 13 have gone to a lot of effort to create a believable world. NPCs litter the streets and bars, and some lovely lighting effects make the shops and signs feel that much more believable. Take a look…

Mafia 3 was announced back in August last year, and follows the story of a man who returns from the Vietnam War to establish a criminal organisation that can rival the Italian Mafia. Ambitious.

We don’t have a specific release date for Mafia 3 yet, but it’s expected to launch sometime in 2016.
