BioWare and EA have finally given their much anticipated sci-fi epic Mass Effect: Andromeda a release date of March 21, 2017, and shared a few new screenshots for our troubles.
The in-game screens give us a better look at combat, as well as a glimpse of some of the massive alien vistas we’ll be exploring, and a cheeky peep at a cool looking space ship.
Without further ado, get your eyeballs around the goods below:
Looking pretty good, right? Andromeda takes place in a galaxy far, far away from the events of the original trilogy, so don’t expect the game to deal with the conclusion of Mass Effect 3.
Instead, we’ll take control of a new character, sent into deep space on a mission to find a brand new home for Earth – expect new aliens, strange new worlds, and a whole lot of awesome sci-fi firefights.
Beyond that, BioWare is wisely remaining tight-lipped on specific plot details which is a good thing – I’ve no doubt there’ll be plenty of twists and turns along the way.
Anyway, here are the rest of the screens for your viewing pleasure. I particularly love what looks like a moody, abandoned lava planet.
Clearly EA and BioWare have gone to great lengths to take the time to get Mass Effect: Andromeda right. Hopefully it’ll be as polished and complete an experience as one could hope for.
