No Man’s Sky Gameplay Footage Is Breathtaking

It’s been a long time coming, but finally we see what No Man’s Sky will look like. This gameplay footage from IGN shows it’s just as perfect as everybody had hoped.

Since it’s initial emergence in late 2013, No Man’s Sky has been billed as the most ambitious game ever made, and with good reason – the sheer scale of it will be mind boggling, especially if this video is anything to go by. Developers Hello Games have said it will be procedurally generated (meaning that complex maths is used to generate limitless content) and will have multiplayer, but due to the sheer size of the created universe, you won’t likely ever be able to find each other.

Each dot of light represents a solar system with suns, each with its own planets. Every planet will have its own climate, flora, fauna, moons and space stations.

Something else that’s drawing people’s interest is that there is apparently no “right” way to play the game. You can literally do whatever you like. Wanna be the next Copernicus? Go head. You can explore and discover as much as you like on countless planets. Want to trade your way to a fortune? You can collect resources and build your own empire. Alternatively you can just jack up on weapons and blow everything and everyone up.

No Man’s Sky currently has no planned release date but but we do know that it will be a timed exclusive for Playstation 4 before being released on PC (bad luck Xbone’s). Here’s hoping this one lives up to the hype.
