The long awaited Oculus Rift is now officially yours to pre-order as the official Oculus shop goes live, and you won’t even have to stump up the cash.. yet.
The Oculus Rift shop officially opened today at 4pm, allowing avid VR fans to pre-order their own device. If you do decide you’ve got the money to burn – they’ll set you back around £410 ($599) – then you can reserve yourself one now for no extra cost. Neato.
With your Oculus Rift, you’ll get the headset, a sensor, an Oculus Remote, cables, Xbox One Controller and two games, EVE: Valkyrie, and Lucky’s Tale.
The devices are expected to ship on or around March 16 to over 20 countries. Oculus big cheese Palmer Luckey laid down the pre-order news on twitter earlier today.
We won't lock people into preorders months before reviews come out using our awesome preorder bonuses. We have confidence in our product!

The two games shipping with the headset are also pretty interesting – Lucky’s Tale is a colourful third-person platformer, while EVE: Valkyrie is a space dogfighter that’s been the poster child for VR.
