If you’re thinking: wait a minute, I’m sure you only announced this last month, then you’re correct. But this is another, slightly different game we’re being blessed with and it sounds epic.

This time, the stakes are even higher because the game will be available to play in VR, meaning we’ll be able to truly immerse ourselves into the Shelby family.

As per Forbes, the game will use artificial intelligence to guide how characters respond to your ‘gestures, movement, voice, sound and body language,’ according to a statement from show distributor Endemol Shine Group and game developers Maze Theory.

Available to play in 2020, the game will receive government funding and will be available across all VR platforms in spring next year.

According the the press release, characters will use machine learning to respond to players’ ‘social signals,’ leading to more lifelike interactions. Is anyone else ridiculously excited to see what this entails?!

As reported by TheSixthAxis, Russell Harding, executive producer at Maze Theory, said this was the company’s first AI enhanced immersive drama.

Harding said:

We are incredibly excited about the unrivalled and entirely new experience this gives players. They will literally be part of Peaky Blinders’ world and be able to interact with characters in ways no one can predict.

Fans of the cult show have been calling out for this type of experience and we’re honoured to be giving it to them. This is future of entertainment!

Show creator Steven Knight added:

I’m really excited by the prospect of Peaky Blinders entering new territory. People who love the show will love the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world in such a total way.

Who else can’t wait for this?!
