It’s that magical time of month again, when Papa Sony sneaks into your room at the dead of night to sprinkle the next load of PlayStation Plus free games into your console.
That’s only if you have a PS Plus subscription, of course. If you don’t, he just sneaks into your room and has a wee in the corner.
Anyway, let’s take a look a the lineup of games coming to PS4, PS3, and Vita for PS Plus members in North America and Europe this August.
As usual, there are six games to look forward to. PlayStation 4 owners will be able to enjoy the Tetris-like Tricky Towers or Rebel Galaxy, an action game that sees you exploring the galaxy, transporting cargo, and fighting pirates.
Those still hanging on to a PlayStation 3 can get the excellent Yakuza 5 –the most recent entry in the Japanese gangster series to launch in the West – or Retro/Grade, a time travelling side scrolling shoot-em-up.
Finally, PS Vita players can grab the rhythm action game Patapon 3, and Ultratron, another sci-fi shooter. Incidentally, Ultratron will also be available across PS4 and PS3.
These new games will be available to download from August 2 – you have until then to grab July’s lineup, which includes such gems as Furi and Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell.
