January has come to a close as February steps into the breach, bringing us one step closer to spring and all its sunny joys. As we all know, a new month means new games for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
In addition to the handful of new titles on offer, Sony has also kindly expanded the 10GB of Cloud storage space for Plus game saves to a princely 100GB. Very nice indeed.
So, let’s talk about the games then. PlayStation 4 owners can get their hands on Ubisoft’s criminally underrated fighter For Honor, and IO’s wonderful sinister assassin sim Hitman: The Complete First Season.
Those of you who still love to kick it with the PS3 can enjoy Metal Gear Solid 4 and two button fighter Divekick. If you’ve a Vita you can also grab Divekick thanks to Crossbuy, as well as Gunhouse and Rogue Aces.
Gunhouse is an interesting little puzzler/tower defence game, while Rogue Aces is a wonderfully addictive 2D shooter. Both of these titles will also be available on PlayStation 4, once again thanks to the dark magics of Crossbuy.
The new batch of PS4 games will be free for PlayStation Plus subscribers to download until March 5, and the PS3 and Vita games will be available for a few extra days, till March 8.
Unfortunately, after March 8 PlayStation 3 and Vita titles will no longer be offered as part of the monthly lineup of free games, so make sure you nab the excellent Metal Gear Solid 4 while you can.
Last month’s PS Plus freebies included Steep and Portal Knight. You have a few days left to claim those, so don’t miss out.
