Sony’s Playstation 4 remote play feature is set to come to Windows PC and Apple Mac soon, allowing owners to stream their console games to their computers.

Playstation 4’s remote play is already available for the PS Vita, but has now been confirmed for PC and Mac through the twitter account of Sony Worldwide Studios’ boss, Shuhei Yoshida.

Sony’s announcement follows an anonymous developer going by the name of Twisted, leaking news that Windows would be pushing out a remote play app in the near future.

Remote play between Playstation 4 and PS Vita has been around since November 2014, and was touted as a way to play with a second screen via your home Wi-Fi network. While some phones can also support the feature – such as the Sony Experia Z5 – it’s great to see it coming to computer screens.

At the start of the year, Microsoft announced a similar feature that allowed Xbox One games to be mirrored on Windows 10 devices, such as latops and tablets.

Unfortunately, there’s no news on exactly when Sony’s feature will arrive on PC and Mac devices.
