If you’ve been playing Red Dead Redemption 2 along with what seems to be most of the planet, it turns out there’s aliens in them thar otherwise entirely realistic and grounded hills.
Rockstar has decided to continue their trend of putting weird, otherworldly mysteries in their games – remember GTA V and Mount Chilliad? – by giving players their very own Wild West sci-fi mystery to uncover.
Of course if you hate mysterious, you can just read on to find out where these aliens are hiding in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Once you get far enough into the game, you’ll find yourself in New Hanover. Once here, you need to head to a cabin called Hani’s Bethel, which is near a pond just north of Emerald Station. Find the cabin, and inside you’ll find a note that kicks off the UFO mystery.
At this point, you’ll want to head outside and set up camp. At around 2am, you can head back inside the cabin to see a mysterious green light shining through from outside. If you dash outside fast enough, you might spot the UFO flying away – but there seems to be no way to trigger the UFO event without stepping inside the cabin first.
After you’ve found the note and glimpsed the UFO, you can make your way over to Mount Shann in Big Valley, just north of Strawberry in West Elizabeth. Climb to the mountains peak, and if you’re lucky, you’ll see another UFO once night falls.
Plenty of people have been posting their findings on YouTube, so you can take a look at the alien ship in action for yourself below.
As it stands, the consensus is that there are only these two UFOs to be found in Red Dead Redemption 2 – but this is a very big game, and I’d put money on there being a few more extraterrestrial secrets to discover yet.
