Salt at the ready then chaps, it’s time for a good old fashioned rumour, and it’s a big one: A new report suggests that publisher Take-Two Interactive are gearing up to announce the long awaited Red Dead Redemption 2.
Fraghero claims they received confirmation of the sequel’s impending announcement from an anonymous source close to an ex-Rockstar Games employee.
The source goes on to suggest that the game’s full title is Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West, and has it down for an Autumn 2017 release.
This mysterious email also claims that the Red Dead sequel will feature multiple characters (like in GTA V) and will offer a much larger open world than the one seen in the first Red Dead Redemption. Apparently, the game has been in development for four years now, with work on the title starting just two years after the first Redemption.
Of course, this is nothing more than an unconfirmed report from an unverified source at this point, so don’t get too excited just yet.
Still, we do know that Take-Two will be at E3 this June in a ‘big way’, and Red Dead is undoubtedly one of their most popular franchises – could we finally be about to get the news we’ve waited years for?
