If you’re looking to download Red Dead Redemption 2 when it comes to consoles, get ready for a hell of a wait.

Rockstar confirmed today (September 27), it has a whopping 105gb to install, which’ll probably take the better part of a decade if your internet is anything like mine.

Rockstar Intel first spotted the chunky file size via a listing on US retailer Target, who posted an image of a Red Dead Ps4 Pro bundle. It’s worth noting file sizes across different consoles may vary, but don’t expect the Xbox One install size to be too different.

It’s not all bad news though (not that it’s hugely bad news, really), as the image in question also revealed Red Dead Redemption 2’s online mode will support up to 32 players.

Fans of math may care to note this is two more than the 30 players GTA Online supports.

Finally, it looks like ‘select online content’ will be available exclusively on the PS4 version of Red Dead Redemption 2 for the first 30 days, because it’s 2018 and that’s just the world we live in now.

Red Dead Redemption 2 launches for PS4 and Xbox One on October 26, and will be entirely playable in first-person from day one, similar to GTA V’s first-person mode, which made murdering innocent strangers and groping prostitutes more horrifyingly immersive than ever before.

Meanwhile, Red Dead Online will arrive as a public beta one month after launch, in November.

Rockstar have warned players to expect a few kinks, but are confident these will be ironed out in the long run.

Of course, the one big bit of news we’ve all been waiting for is that the game will have realistic horse testicles, right down to the physics .

If that’s not game of the year material I honestly don’t know what is?
