With the impending release of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Sony and Naughty Dog have given us the first taste of what it will look like, and it’s just achingly beautiful.
Anybody who’s ever played Uncharted will know just how great this franchise has become since it’s humble beginnings. Naughty Dog have recently been teasing us with Uncharted 4, but to tide us over have decided to re-release the entire Uncharted back catalogue in high-def.
Oh Lord.
Uploaded in swelteringly high 3840 x 2160 resolution, what you see on the screen isn’t nearly as jaw-dropping as the final product. When compared, it’s very clear that Naughty Dog have put some time and effort into making this look as good as technology will allow, so fair play to them. They also released a gameplay video to show us the game in motion and have said a playable demo will be coming this summer.
Uploaded to Playstation’s blog, the images are taken from Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and are a clear indication that Naughty Dog doesn’t fuck about when it comes to quality. Take a seat God of War 3. The Nathan Drake Collection will release on October 7th in Europe and October 9th over in America exclusively on Playstation 4.
