Rockstar Editor Is Coming To Consoles In The Next Grand Theft Auto Update

In a blog post that completely buried the coolest news they had to announce, Rockstar have revealed they will be releasing the Rockstar Editor for PS4 and Xbox One in their next update.

The inconspicuous post announced the winners of Rockstar’s ‘Ill Gotten Gains Editor Contest’, in which users were encouraged to make a short movie to win some pretty sweet Rockstar goodies. Cool news, but nothing to get excited about unless you won. That is until the tail end of the blog post just casually drops the huge news like it’s no big deal.

The post reads:

The upcoming launch of the Rockstar Editor for PS4 and Xbox One as the next update to Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online means the next Rockstar Editor contest will be the first one with entries across all three platforms.

In case you’ve been living in a video game vacuum for the past few months, you’ll know that Rockstar Editor was released on PC back in April, and allows owners of the game to mess about with the game’s camera to make epic, or most likely fucking daft, in-game videos. Check out the winning entry by Youtuber zilzoza for a crash course in how to do it right.

Because Rockstar will also be running movie making competitions across all three platforms in the future, it’s worth brushing up on your tekkers as soon as the update drops.
