Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out for a few months now, and I think it’s more than safe to say that Rockstar has another hit on its hands.

The epic Western romp was a huge hit with gamers and critics alike. We were offered up a gorgeous, vast open world that’s populated with memorable characters and a deeply affecting tale of life, death, and… erm, redemption.

The big question now of course; where on Earth does Rockstar go from here?

As is so often the case in the age of the internet, a new rash of Rockstar job listings have provided us with our first concrete clue as to what to expect from the GTA developer next.

So what jobs are actually on offer at Rockstar? First spotted by GearNuke, Rockstar New York is on the lookout for a Technical Face Developer and MoCap Tools developer for “future titles”, while Rockstar Toronto have a listing for a Senior Technical Artist  to “improve facial animation tracking.”

How exactly Rockstar can improve on the gorgeous facial animations of Red Dead Redemption 2 I have no idea, but I can’t wait to find out.

While we can’t glean from these listings exactly what the game (or games) might be, we can confirm Rockstar is on the hunt for talented individuals to help “create next-generation worlds for some exciting upcoming projects.”

The bad news is this heavily implies we won’t be getting another Rockstar game in this generation of consoles (although who really expected that?), but the exciting news is that they’re officially planning for the next gen.

Rumours of Grand Theft Auto VI and even Bully 2 have been swirling for a while now, but if Rockstar really intend to kick off the next generation with a bang, my money would be on their next project being the former.
