Sony Announce Bloodborne’s Upcoming Expansion And It Looks Awesome

Sony have announced that From Software’s dark and creepy slasher Bloodborne will be getting it’s first expansion in the form of The Old Hunters.

The announcement has come from Sony’s press conference at the Tokyo Game Show, and will be the first expansion for the highly successful IP from Japanese devs From Software.

Bloodborne: The Old Hunters will – unsurprisingly – delve into Bloodborne history to focus on the old hunters that are referenced in the main game. The trailer features new weapons and abilities but the core gameplay seems to be largely untouched.

The expansion was confirmed back in May of this year, with game director Hidetaka Miyazaki saying he fully believed that working on a Bloodborne expansion and Dark Sould 3 – From Software’s other big title – simultaneously would not damage the end product of either.

Bloodborne: The Old Hunters is a Playstation exclusive and has been given a digital release date of 24 November in Japan, though it is unclear when a worldwide release is planned. There will also be an Old Hunter Edition of Bloodborne released on 5 December, which packages the original and the expansion together.
